Friday 6th June
Happy Friday!
I hope you all had a lovely half-term break. The school has certainly been a hive of activity this week!
Our year four children have been working hard on their Multiplication Tables Check, and we couldn’t be prouder of the determination and resilience they’ve shown. Well done to each and every one of them!
As part of our exciting new English curriculum, each class begins their unit with a ‘Relate’ lesson that connects their learning to real-life experiences or prior knowledge. This helps the children build a strong understanding of their new text. This week, it’s been wonderful to see how each year group has been introduced to their new books – we’ve seen role playing AI to trying to work out which suitcase filled with items represented which personality.
Our year six children are very busy and engaged in their production rehearsal and have filled the hall with their wonderful singing. We cannot wait to see the end result!
A quick reminder that next Friday 13th June will be a Mufti Day. Children may come to school in non-uniform, and in return, we kindly ask for a donation to help support our Summer Family Event.
Here’s what each year group is being asked to bring:
Nursery & Reception – Cakes
Year 1 & Year 2 – Biscuits
Year 3 & Year 4 – Chocolate
Year 5 & Year 6 – Bottles (e.g. shampoo, soft drinks, etc.)
Happy Eid to our families who have been celebrating today. We look forward to hearing all about the celebrations when your children return to school on Monday.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Have a restful weekend!
