School Meals
Good health is important for everyone. The Government is committed to securing, maintaining and improving the health of children and young people. One way it is doing this is by setting minimum national nutritional standards for school lunches.
A varied and balanced diet plays a key role in protecting health and promoting proper growth and development. In the short term, it can help children and young people concentrate better and reach their full potential both in and out of school.
At Olive Hill, we provide a variety of excellent healthy options through our catering partner, Alliance in Partnership (AiP). School dinners cost £2.55 and includes a drink of water during the lunch hour.
Our online payment and pre-ordering system is designed to offer a simpler and convenient service to families and can be accessed through your own SchoolMoney account. All children from Reception to Year 6, including those in receipt of free school meals or universal free school meals (Reception to Year 2), must pre-order online.
Menus will operate on a three-week rotation. You have until 9am on the morning of each school day to pre-order your child’s lunch. If a meal hasn’t been pre-ordered you will need to provide your child with a packed lunch for that day. We recommend making the meal choices alongside your child, so they are aware of what has been ordered. Meals will need to be paid for at the time of pre-ordering. In the event of your child not bringing in a packed lunch and not pre-ordering a meal, a jacket potato or sandwich option will be given.
