Friday 23rd May
Happy Friday!
I cannot believe that it is the end of the half term already; it seems to have flown by!
This week saw the much-anticipated return of our enrichment sessions, and what a joy it was! There was a real buzz of excitement as children from different year groups mixed and explored new activities together. It was heartwarming to see the friendships formed across year groups, with children waving and chatting to their new friends throughout the week. Many were already talking eagerly about what they’d like to try in the next session — a true sign of their enthusiasm!
Today, our Reception children set off on a very exciting trip. They had a fantastic time exploring the Sycamore centre, where they enjoyed go-karting, sand and water play, and even braved the big slide (which the adults may have enjoyed just as much!). A campfire added a special touch to the day, and the children learned some new songs thanks to our brilliant staff. With the sun shining brightly, the children were even treated to a lovely outdoor picnic. They returned to school with big smiles — and a few sleepy eyes!
We were also delighted to welcome our Chair of Governors to school this week. On Tuesday, she visited to see how our new PSHE curriculum is being implemented, and I was proud to show her around. She was incredibly impressed by the children’s deep understanding of the topics being explored — from the dangers of alcohol to the importance of dental hygiene. Even more so, she praised the children’s ability to express themselves clearly and confidently. It’s always wonderful to see the children developing not just academically, but also as thoughtful, articulate individuals.
All our families should have received our end of half term information letter via ParentMail today. As ParentMail is a method of communication we often use, please make sure you are receiving all correspondence and do keep your details updated. Please do take the time to read this letter as we include important information regarding next term as well as dates for the diary.
Have a wonderful half term holiday and we look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 2nd June.
