Friday 18th July

Happy Friday!

What a wonderful week it’s been at school as we reach the end of term.

We started the week on a high note with the Rocksteady concert on Monday—a huge success! The children were absolutely brilliant, playing in their bands with confidence and enthusiasm. It was fantastic to see their hard work and talent shine.

On Wednesday, year six had the best time at Hatton Country World. They came back buzzing with stories, especially about a very steep slide and some incredibly cute baby guinea pigs. It’s always lovely to hear their laughter and excitement after such a memorable trip.

That same day, year one wowed us with their fantastic performance, showcasing their knowledge of the beach through the ages. Their loud, confident voices and joyful singing were a real treat—well done year one!

On Thursday evening, we celebrated our year six Leavers’ Party—a brilliant evening filled with laughter, dancing, awards, and some very smart outfits! A massive thank you goes to the dedicated staff who stayed late, set up the space, cooked lots of chips and pizza, and gave the children an experience they’ll never forget.

Today, we said our goodbyes to our wonderful Year six children. It’s always hard to see them go, especially after watching so many of them grow and flourish from Reception onwards. We are incredibly proud of all they’ve achieved, and we can’t wait to hear about the amazing things they’ll go on to do.

We hope you all have an amazing holiday! A letter went out today with all the details you need to know for September, and we look forward to welcoming the children back on Wednesday 3rd September.

Wishing you all a restful and happy summer,

Megan Walters
