Friday 5th September
Happy Friday,
It has been such a pleasure to welcome everyone back to school after the summer break. The children have returned full of stories about their adventures, and it has been lovely to hear about all the exciting things they have been up to.
Before the children arrived, our staff spent two training days preparing for the new year, ensuring that everything was ready for a smooth and happy start. By Wednesday, the school was buzzing with excitement, and it was wonderful to see the children walk through the gates with big smiles, ready to learn.
We are delighted with how well the children have settled into their new classes. They are already showing great enthusiasm for their learning and have quickly adapted to the routines of their year groups.
In our assembly yesterday, the children shared their favourite parts of the first day back. Their answers were a joy to hear – from seeing friends and teachers again, to enjoying their lunch, to putting on their brand-new shoes, and of course beginning exciting new learning experiences.
A special mention must go to our Year six children, who have stepped into their new responsibilities brilliantly. From collecting recycling bins to helping run the computer during assemblies, they play a key role in keeping our school running smoothly. Under the guidance of Miss Thacker, they have been training hard this week and have approached their new jobs with maturity, care, and a real sense of responsibility.
We look forward to seeing you all on Monday morning, ready for another exciting week of learning next week.
