School Council

At Olive Hill, our children are the most important people and we value their thoughts and opinions about our school. We empower our children to lead school improvements through the school council.

Each year, every class elects two representatives to be members of the school council. The children who are successfully elected represent the views of their class at a weekly meeting.

Our school council meet and discuss a range of things such as:

  • Lunchtimes

  • Safety

  • Playground equipment

  • Fundraising

  • Children’s rights

  • Recruitment of new staff

  • School budget

Last year, the school council decided to do some fundraising to improve the school playground and they successfully raised enough money to buy ‘Buddy Benches’.
